Ideal Standard, one of the world’s leading provider of innovative and design-driven bathroom solutions have partnered with Ideal Ceramics – East Africa’s top supplier of bathrooms, tiles and furniture to sponsor the Third Ideal Interiors Expo slated for 7th – 11th March, 2012 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The sponsorship, skewed to uphold quality at the five-day event aims to bring together interior sector players with aesthetically appealing, technologically advanced and a sound breed of creative interiors.

Considering that Ideal Interiors Expo targets decisive buyers, both Ideal Standards and Ideal Ceramics have in their unique expo-booths taken into account the essence of quality craftsmanship. Way before the year began, the duo lined to set-up a stylish and timeless design to indulge with end-users keen to secure products and after-sell service from the best of the best.

Celebratory space

To this effect, The Village Market, the region’s prestigious shopping complex will host Ideal Standard and Ideal Ceramics on a 54 square meter celebratory space. On display will be a range of sanitary-ware tools, solutions and products developed specifically for the hotel and residential market. Theirs will be more of a tri-modular approach – Ideal Vision, Ideal Plan and Ideal Care.

According to Mr. Sherif Raafat the trio-platforms will demonstrate how Ideal Standard supports architects and designers with a full project package – from visualization, through project planning and specifications, to dedicated customer contact support and post-fit maintenance.

Raafat notes that unique displays at the Ideal Interiors Expo will be amplified by a number of new products. “These unique products will reflect a deep understanding of the personal and intimate role that bathrooms play, in line with the Ideal Standard brand ethos “Inspired by Real Life”, he affirmed.

Ideal Ceramics, geared to participate in the expo’s first-time organized Bathroom Design and Assembling Competition, is keen to build a live bathroom. The company aims to demonstrate how a new water and energy-saving innovation in a bathroom takes the eco-challenge one step further, said Mr. Natu Sanghrajka, the Ideal Ceramics Marketing Director.

Attractive aesthetics

“It is time that our growing range of clients made user-friendly products and benefit from the highest energy savings in the market for single lever mixer taps – a perfect solution for hotels keen to reduce water and energy costs without compromising on attractive aesthetics, functionality, increased safety and eco-consciousness,” said Sanghrajka.

The collaboration of both Ideal Standards and Ideal Ceramics further aims to showcase rare bathroom product lines that are based on a philosophy of simplicity, sensuality and constancy.

Natu noted that those who cherish quality bath experience want to include in a bathroom. Just as in homes, there is no ‘one size fits all’ in the hotel bathroom solution and so it’s important for us to be flexible. “We can do everything from high-end guest rooms to spas to public washrooms,” he said.

Ideal Standard International started working in Egypt in 1983 followed by establishing a number of factories in 10th Ramadan City to reach a total number of 6 factories in 1999 where its factories cover all products related to sanitary ware including mixers, bathtubs, acrylic, bath cabins, and a factory for producing acrylic sheets that are exported to all factories of Ideal Standard all over the world.

More factories and various production lines are currently under establishment and they are all included within the plan of Ideal Standard International to fulfill increasing local and international demand.

Contemporary African Art

This is a joint exhibition by two artists (Husband & Wife Oywecha and Ruth). Each showing Talent & Own Expressions.

In Ruth’s Art, she expresses her thoughts, dreams and emotions not forgetting other ideas from within and without. She tries to create by seeing everything as they are in constant effort. She has always tried to nourish her feelings and doing so by deriving materials from the world about us and assimilating the external world about us and assimilating the external world within herself and projecting them into mediums as her own creation. Her art has evolved significantly and in the process, she has become an accomplished and prolific artist.

In Oywecha’s painting color and his technique combine to express and or elicit powerful emotions. Some have linked his paintings with cubism, which is sought to depict an intellectual and abstract reality. His paintings have a tendency of pulling apart and examining conventions of existing models of expression, his own characteristics and unique style. Some term his work as geometrical due to its simplification.
