One of the leading lighting companies in Kenya, Creative Innovations, will featuring some of their unique and top of the range lighting products and fixtures at the 7th Ideal Interiors Expo, which is slated for March 10 – 13, 2016 at the Oshwal Centre, Westlands, Nairobi.
Incorporated in 1993, Creative Innovations began with an aim to provide its customers with the best lighting showrooms in Kenya. The first lighting showroom was opened in Westlands with a range of Italian lighting that consisted of commercial lighting from Lanzini and Belgian domestic lighting from Massive.
The company simultaneously developed a strong trading department, focussing on electrical products mainly emergency lanterns and extension sockets. It became the first organisation to be appointed by Nakumatt Holdings to supply and develop key electrical accessories in 1996. This led to the birth of the Illumatt brand under which a broader category of electrical products was developed.
In 1998, Creative Innovations ventured further into the lubricants business after developing an interest in the auto accessories industry. This came with the introduction of premium brands in the market to cater for the emerging needs of customers.
The company further collaborated with Nakumatt Holdings and other leading lifestyle stores which led to the introduction of Lighting Mania – a concept of lighting showrooms under lifestyle stores. These showrooms fulfil the customers’ lighting needs with convenience thus enhancing their shopping experience. The network of Lighting Mania showrooms has greatly expanded over the years, bringing lighting solutions closer to the customer. It currently boasts of 22 branches across Kenya and Uganda.
2005 came with the exclusive distributorship of Hong Kong based Gaston batteries and business partnership with Tuskys Supermarket.
A further expansion came with the establishment of the Lifestlye division in 2007 which aims to improve the living for its customers by offering a wide of range of home furnishing products.
