Since hosting the premier East Africa’s Ideal Interiors Expo in 2010, I’ve been bombarded with questions bordering on prolific interior design and designers. These questions keep coming because the world of interiors talk. Interiors make big statements.

In the past, interior design was instinctively put together as a part of the process of building. Regrettably, this process was previously seen as playing a second fiddle to architecture. Thanks goodness; this position is changing.  Proof! Ha!

We recently were honoured to receive dignitaries at the 3rd Ideal Interiors Expo. Theirs was a tour with personal touch. Among them was the late Hon. Joshua OrwaOjode Kenya’s Internal Security assistant minister.

We indeed were saddened by Joshua’s death along with his boss Hon. Professor George Saitoti. Their sudden sorrowful demise along with other four Kenyans was as a result of a chopper crash at the Ngong Forest on June 10, 2012. Our heartfelt condolences to the family and to the nation of Kenya for indeed; these patriotic leaders walked the talk and were steadfast friends of the interiors sector players. In this edition, we amplify the essence of walking the talk like these fallen patriots did.

Interiors as I’ve noted earlier talks. However, there’s no short-cut to great business in it but to soil your hands and be constantly creative. Adopt new ideas, network and have refreshed ways of conducting business. Hands-on experience counts. Working with successful professionals scales you up the fastest. Real-life experience gradually builds the desired skills in this industry of many demands and many value-talks.

The pursuit of appealing and functional spaces is speedily evolving. This is a result of styled-up developments in homes, offices and hotels. Although the crescendo of interior design seems to have reached a mind-boggling stage, I can assure you, there is more to see that talks the value. We haven’t seen the best of us yet. Ideal Interiors Expo proves this point yearly.

There is bigger demand for aesthetical ideas and works. You surely ought to be part of this trend. It’s your ideal platform. It is the space for builders as well as psychedelic space stylists. It simply brings life to spaces and we dare say you need it. Why? Your walk in interiors talks the worthy talk.
