One of the world’s leading manufacturers of boards and panels has partnered with Laxcon Hardware & Spares Ltd to supply quality European boards to the East African region. Egger, which is a reputable manufacturer of boards and panels in Europe, and whose bases are in Austria, Germany and all over Europe, has entered into an agreement that will see Laxcon distribute the boards at an attractive rate in this market.
The Egger boards, to be distributed under the firm’s flagship Zoom range will offer architects, interior designers, building contractors and the industry at large an opportunity to give end users quality products that have only been seen in modern economies in the West.
EGGER’s Zoom range offers an amazing product whose chosen surface texture enhances the d’ecor of the end product.
“It gives us great pleasure to announce that Laxcon Hardware & Spares Ltd a Division of Laxamanbhai Group has introduced Egger boards and Panels such as MDF, particle boards, 3mm backers, laminates, edgings, worktops and the like as a link concept both in raw and décor,” says Mr. AshwinBhojak, the chief executive officer of the Boards and Panels Division of the company.
Ashwin notes that the market is ready for quality boards such as the ones produced by Egger, and would be a welcome change in the East African market.
“We seek to serve the market because the demand is pretty high at the moment, and all the industry players involved in the sale and distribution of boards and panels cannot meet this demand,” Ashwin says. “That is why Laxcon has taken this deliberate effort to help meet this need.
He says Laxcon will continue cooperating with other industry players to ensure consumers get the best quality available in the market around the globe, but at affordable prices as well.
“Our duty is to complement the role that has been effectively played by industry stakeholders who have continued to serve this market,” says Ashwin. “We seek to forge ties that will ensure together we work for the benefit of the entire industry, and for the overall benefit of the consumer down the chain.”
The Zoom range of panels and boards is available in the firm’s showroom at the Apex Centre along Mombasa Road. The firm intends not only to act as distributors for the products, but also to provide machinery that would be used for cutting, edging, boring and drilling of the boards and panels.
“To effectively serve the joinery, kitchen and wardrobe manufacturers, ins
tallers and the office furniture industry stakeholders at large, we will need the equipment that will do these tasks I have mentioned already,” Ashwin says, adding that already, there are plans to install the machinery by September 2012 to serve these purposes.
As the head of the division, Ashwin has immense experience spanning many years in the industry, and is reputed with having contributed substantially to the growth of the boards and panels subsector in the region.
“With this range of products, you can be assured of top-notch quality, reliability and durability,” he says. “Nothing beats products from Egger. I can assure you of that,” says Ashwin.
